Hi! New Canon T3i / 600D
Hi! My name is Toņo.
I've been taking pictures all my life, but just until now I was able to get a real camera of my own. My brand new Canon T3i.
I've own many point and shoot cameras, taking pictures is something I really enjoy.
I learned the basics of SLR cameras using my parents' fully manual Nikon. I found as a nice surprise new digital SLRs are 100 times easier to use than manual SLR cameras.
I still have a lot to learn, so I hope I can get some advice on my pictures from you guys.
Talk to you later.
Toņo

Hi Toņo,
Welcome to the CiC forums from me, great to have you join us.
Which lens(es) did you get with your new camera?
What sort of subjects interest you?
Also, don't under-estimate a P&S, if you have any pictures you'd like to share or have critique on, we're not snobbish here, we'll look at them too
All the best,

Re: Hi! New Canon T3i / 600D
Hi Dave. thanks for the welcome!
I got the kit lens that came along with the camera. 18-55 IS 1:3.5-5.6. It was the same price (almost) with or without the kit lens, so I went for it.
I love sunsets and sunrises. I like also landscapes and I want to get better when it comes to capture the people's emotions.
Of course, I´m not underestimating point-and-shoot cameras. The quality of the pictures does not rely 100% on the camera itself, but on the skills of the photographer. I have pictures I'm proud of that I took with a disposable fixed focus camera =P
So here you have some of my pictures. I would love to have comments on all my archives, but that would make an almost endless post.
The first three were taken with my Olympus P&S. The last two with my new Canon. I'll appreciate your comments.

Posting on the thread didn't go well. So I created an album = Toņo Aug 29.
The 1st and 3rd are the Canon pics. The rest are the Olympus.
