First shot at macro extension tube

Hey guys! I've just bought a macro extension tube, because I cannot afford a macro lens at this point. I'm very happy about my first shots, but I have to have some sort of support. Only the slightest movement blurs the image. Right now that's my only complaint. Lets just look at the pictures!

I know what you mean - I have an extension tube on my camera as well - from all the pics I took with it (over 300 so far) about 5 of them ended up as keepers. A little bit of wind, and there goes your focus....
Mostly they end up with the focus on the wrong part, or way too soft.
I'm leaving the critique to more experienced users, but I think you did OK for a first try.
Does your camera have a manual focus?

Yes, its very complicated and for me its impossible to hold my camera completely still by hand... Thank you, and yes I have a manual focus on my camera, that's what I used to take my pictures.

OK Lise. You pushed me over the proverbial edge. I just ordered a set of extension tubes. I just got to try this macro thing out! Thank you for the final nudge!

Haha, I'm happy to help! Its a really good solution, instead of buying a lens, even though you have keep it stable all the time. Again, you're welcome(:

Hehe I'm a huuuge fan, if you ever invest in a macro lens I can highly recommend the canon 100mm macro lens, If you are shooting with Canon that is.

heres a pic I took with that lens

    I like them both Lise-Marie!

I'd love to get into this macro world, but I know I would get addicted and end up spending a fortune on (quote from my wife) "absurdly expensive equipment that I don't need!" (Bah! What does she know anyway?! )

    Keep them coming L-M

I took this last weekend. The actual size of the flower is about half of my pinkie nail.
I think it's a weed - that's about all that wants to grow in this heat. It grows fairly close to the ground, and I have no idea what it is.

SOOC - only cropped and sharpened a bit.

It's too late, too late! I just got word that it shipped today, along with a Velbon Super Mag Macro Focusing Rail Slider. I am lost! Oh well, better to go happy!

Here is another pictures I shot that day(:

The only thin I don't like about this photo is that the plant had a lot of leaves, which you can see as the green at the bottom. And I'm not very good at editing photos so I'm stuck with ti the way it is(: Oh well, I still like it!
