Has anyone used this product? I was looking to get a NDF and my local camera store tried to sell me on it. It looks pretty interesting. Here is a link to it.

Hi Paul,
It's a copy of the Singh-Ray Vari-ND that Heliopan have also decided to copy.
I have 2 of the Singh-Ray varients, and wouldn't be without either of them under any circumstances. Quality plays a big part though -- the Singh-Ray ones are top-shelf - not sure how the others fare though (although Heliopan are also a top-shelf filter manufacturer).
Edit: Just found this - based on what I read - personally - I think I'd be inclined to give the Genus a miss.
Thanks Colin
I took a look at the forum posts.. that is good info. Have you used the Singh-Ray on longer focal lengths? I wanted it to work for my 70-300 but the Genus is bad at the low end of that focal range and unusable at the longer.
Paul
Hi Paul,
I use it on my EF70-200mm F2.8L IS USM II a lot of the time without any issues. It's a VERY high-quality piece of kit. They also have a "Duo" version with built in polariser too if it helps.
Ouch.. it looks like i will need to wait a bit before i pick up this bit of kit. I could have gotten away with the $150 of the genus version but $400 will make my wife have lazer beam eyes. Next month maybe. The Singh-Ray looks like the winner though.
