Wishing...
Another shot of my daughter using my DIY beauty dish. I wish I had another flash unit to act as a rim light separating her from the background but I only have the SB-24 so this would suffice for now. I took the shot holding the flash unit with my left hand while pressing the shutter with my right. Boy, it sure is hard and cumbersome. I'm glad she's in the mood to help her dad study some one light photography tonight. Thank you very much for viewing.

Love it. Not sure that an additional light, as you describe, could improve this shot for me.
Must be handy to have such an attractive and willy model to hand Willie.

Lovely shot Willie. Actually the lack of separation has the effect of allowing her face to glow from the dark. Her eyes look 'soulful' as we were discussing on another thread - big dilated pupils and biggish catchlights which aren't too piercing. The folded hands make a peaceful composed arch. This would work well in b&w too, maybe even better - though its already excellent.
