A Wedding!...Surely you cannot be serious?

Well of course not - what do you take me for?.....but I thought I would share a couple of shots from recent events in the life of my family.
There have been and are currently some others, which we don't need to go into here.

The big event involving photography was our son partnering a debutante at the school debutante ball.
Think white dress/black suit then multiply it by 27 then double that as there are so many we hold them over 2 nights.

For our son and his friends, I decided to add some props to make the pre event shoot a bit more fun.
The kids had sunglasses and sneakers/ colourful shoes to add to their formal attire, so once they told me that, I then added an empty picture frame for them to look through, a mirror, some masks and even a frog...
It was great fun, but very busy and I did make some silly mistakes.
But as always that is how we learn, I can see in the mistake ones what I did wrong, so that's something I guess.

Our Son and his gorgeous partner..

The girls with the masks I gave them to go with their colourful shoes (the rules are plain white or silver, which they changed into later... "give me the look Emma'' was my instruction here

A Wedding!...Surely you cannot be serious?

and finally, I had the idea of 'kiss the frog' and you will have a handsome prince! Our son thought I had gone completely mad, but his mate saw all the props ready and gave the idea the 'that's so cool' ... so here they are

It's having the confidence to go for shots like this. I'd be too nervous that they'd think I was real prat and tell me where to go.

And they really work. I think 'Kissing the Frog' is wonderful.

    Lovely pictures
I too like number3 "kissing the frog", fantastic idea that I may well "borrow" in the future

Number one is superb, very inspired.

Hi Kay, I love the imagination that went into composing these shots and it looks like the participants had a wonderful time fulfilling the fantasy. Top that off with the images being technically excellent and you have a memorable keepsake that will bring smiles for years to come. Very well done!

The young ladies are beautiful. Great captures allowing definition in those white dresses. Oh by the way, it was ladies that looked like this that helped me fall in love with Australia over fourty years ago. These shots helped me venture back in time. I visited Australia while in the U.S. Navy in 1967 and was invited to a formal dance on my first night in Perth. I came close to deciding to retire Down Under...

I shouldn't be surprised by your inventiveness Kay, but these are great ideas, well executed.

You're a talented lady and no mistake.

    All the best,

Very nice Kay, the first one is a classic. I love it! not that there is anything wrong with the other 2 I just like the idea of #1. I must say that you have a way of making your models look very comfortable and relaxed. Not just in this series, but I have noticed the same with all your work. I think you are a natural at this, because to me half the battle with people is getting them to look relaxed in front of the camera, not an easy thing from either side of the lens.

Okay. Well, you can either have sewing or rounding up sheep.
