Pic 3 would do that.
Number 3. The waves seem to obscure the buildings in the distance which adds to the image for me. The waves seem angry. Too bad the clouds didn't have a little more personality for you. Alas, Mother Nature will always do exactly as she likes. Well done in my opinion.
I Like #3 best, Chris. I was born on an island and love watching the sea, but for me, the first two seem to lacking something? ...not sure just what.
I would agree with the #3 call Chris, for the reasons stated above. I will say though that the color of water in #1 seems a little more stormy.
I have to agree #3 is it for me.
Definitely number.3 I hope to get similar photos tomorrow - no skyscrapers though-just coastal rocks. The buildings make a real difference.
I've just written a comment about energy and drama in the context of a sports image in another thread. I could just have copied the comment in here.
Boy, that's powerful (the image and the subject matter). Chris asks which of the above 3 best exemplifies the stormy weather. For me it's a no contest. Indeed, I think you'd have to look pretty far an wide to get a similarly powerful 'storm hits the land' image.
Negative criticism? - Only question would have been about that building so close to the right hand edge. But given that the others are so well placed in the frame and the dynamite probably wouldn't have gone off in such awful weather, I suppose it had to stay!
I am just starting to learn so my comments may be more emotional that technically correct. I see the building on the right as an anchor point from which I search to the unending horizon at building after building fading into the ocean. I am probably technically 'out to lunch', but I think I would be tempted to put the building right on the image border and let the imagination guess at how wide the building is.
Hi Chris,
Do you need another vote for #3?
Following that, yes #1, but #3 'by a country mile' as they say.
Cheers,
