I popped in before work to see what you said - unfortunately, I don't have that programme, so it's going to be difficult for me to advise.

Could a Canon DPP user advise Dora how the white point of an image can be set in DPP; e.g. is there a levels dialog? an exposure control and histogram?

There is a curves and levels adjustment in the canon programme.
If you pick an image then there is a button to edit which takes to the controls to play with. not very familiar with as I don't use it.

When, as Paul says, you click on the 'edit' button on the top menu bar, you have a side window alongside your image.Theer are 3 tabs in that. - RAW : RGB : NR/Lens/ARO.

Now, the version of the Histogram that you see when on the 'RAW' tab remains, so far as I can make out, something of a mystery to most of the world. I read somewhere, once, that this is there for the Japanese market, because that is the way they operate with Histograms. I don't know if that's true.

The more conventional (to our eyes) histogram is accessed from the RGB tab. In there you can adjust the black and white points and do all that can be done in terms of curves.

Thank you Donald, thank you Paul. I tried a little bit to play with the curves, but truth is that I know nothing about conversion . I don't know what to look for . What is your criteria for a good conversion pic?
