Checked the Moon image, same thing happened there. Now, I am new to processing

present at the time the image was taken?

I used Photoshop Elements 8.

My usual steps are to:

1. Make a copy of the original and open up in Camera RAW.
2. Zoom to 100%
3. Increase clarity, vibrance, contrast.
4. Open image and do addtional variations before cropping.

This image had no cropping and very little editing, although still in jpeg format.

What is it?
