ACCEPTING ENTRIES: Monochrome Mini Competition #298

This is a monochrome-themed competition that is open to all CiC members.

ENTERING. Add your MONOCHROME/B&W image in a new post below. Make sure to change your post title to a name for your picture (click the "Go Advanced" button). Only one entry per person, and any tinted images should utilize no more than one color. For help posting images, go here.

VOTING. When this competition reaches 10 entries, a poll will be automatically added and any member may then vote. After 2 days, voting ends and the winner is determined.

Once voting begins, a new competition will be automatically started.

    Good luck!

Notes: Please do not request feedback or comment on other images until after voting has closed, as it could be unfair to other entrants. Photos must be your own, and never entered into one of our prior competitions. We also ask that only recently taken or edited photos be used as entries (in the spirit of motivating everyone to continually improve).

PS: Make sure to also vote on the previous competition here.

This image was taken recently with a Yashica Mat 124G (120/220 roll film camera) as I was conducting an exposure meter test.

When I shot this, like Donald, I saw it only as a B&W image. The whole scene had the feel of a French countryside with a table awaiting the return of friends who would sit and share a bottle while reliving old times. Thanks for sharing the same vision.

Great job Chris. I felt that way about this photo too. I also imagined a very elderly couple sittin back thinking about what life has given them and what lies ahead.

This shot was fantastic. It could also bring to mind two people, in love, meeting for a quiet afternoon meal enjoying the breeze and view. Just love it. Great job Chris. Congratulations on the win.

I liked your escher print, too. Escher is one of my all time favorites. Was this perchance your color image turned upside down and made into a B&W? Either or, it is a brilliant shot.

Thanks Chris! That shot was a different one, same building turned upside down.I played with it at different angles but it looked more Escheresque(sp) upside down. Glad you liked it.
