Mark, add these right in with the last few......stunning! Again.....beautiful light, tack sharp and great compositions.
Hi Mark,
Another good set, just a couple of quick comments on these;
#2 - is there a chance of the same shot with them coming towards us (that might depend on wind direction)
#4 mentions sunset, but the WB and possible slight over exposure on leading edge, has lost the golden glow we see in #3
'Bonus' third comment
#1 also might look better with a different WB (although I am less sure), the trailing edge of wing has the blue sky look because the lit part of bird, sea spray and cliff has been made neutral - again this removes the nice sunset lit look, but perhaps you were going for the dramatic cold look on the spray instead.
However, there is far more good than 'not optimal' about all of them, I'd be pleased with them.
I shot some gannets in the spring, but I bet they don't look as good as these, although in my defence, they were shot more in middle of day. (excuses, excuses! )
I have enjoyed these, and the first set if I didn't mention it there,
What a wonderful series! I can't really pick a favourite as I think they are all stunning! Keep them coming Mark!
As has been said, excellent images again.
By that way - could you go to Eden Park next Saturday and shout very loudly for Scotland as they take on that other lot; i.e. our neighbours to the south in the rugby world cup? After today's defeat, we've got to trounce them to have a chance of the quarter-finals.
Wonderful images, like them all.
Such beautiful birds and wonderful shots! Congratulations.
Wonderful series! The coloring and sharpness...
