Hi Giannis,
I am a huge fan of your color photos, maybe because I cannot imagine Greece in B&W. From my monitor the proportion between sky and sea is 50/50. I would give a little more for the sky- just a little bit. Hope you don't mind- just a thought. The colours are magnificent.
I agree with Dora that the horizon is very central in the image. However, the dilemma, I suggest, is that the tone going from dark to light on the water is very, very good and if you were to crop anything off the bottom you would lose that. The sky has an almost - reminded me of Salvador Dali abstract feel to it.
A really beautiful image.
I agree and think it stands as it is.
If anything, it is the crane and pole that distract me more from the clouds, although the crane jib does form part of a spiral path that starts with the single red point in foreground, goes left and up through several more, then up the jib to the contrail and down to the setting sun.
To me, it proves the rule of thirds can be broken. Great picture.
I love the colors reflected in the waves, Giannis! Very well done!
I like version #1 the best. The color range of the water is beautiful. For me the crop has lost some of that range. Beautiful shot!
