We have a pair of Newfoundlands that blessed us with four little ones. Bosun, one of the males, was the most handsome one. This picture was taken the day we turned him over to his new family. We have been so fortunate that his new family has continued to send us pictures and keep us up-to-date on his progress.

Beautiful looking animal, Cindy.
Photographically, it might have been better to get an angle that put the whole of that fence as the background. The line along of the top of the fence exposing the sky is a bit distracting, especially as it cuts through the dog's head.

Thank you so much for the advice. I see what you mean. He was 5 months old and I guess I was happy to get him to be still long enough for the shot. Thinking back, I doubt I took a lot of time for composition. I find one of my biggest downfalls is getting in a hurry. But I appreciate the pointer. Just what I need to fine tune my photos.
