You've got some very nice shots there Steve - interesting and creative shooting. I particularly like #2 and #4 but they are all good.
Cheers Dave
Four nice shots from your walk Steve and I particularly like #2 and #3.

Nice images, especially the alley way.
Thanks for the comments folks.
Hi Steve,
In respect of "this is Boston", my thoughts are;
the car could be taken anywhere, (it is still a good image though)
the people could also be many places, (I find the fan is too bright and distracts from the face)
leaving the other two which are unique to Boston (I prefer the alleyway)
... but perhaps I'm reading too much into the title
Yes, I think you may be.
These are 4 images taken while walking around Boston yesterday. There is no intent to use these images to portray anything but what they are. The fact that they could be taken anywhere is really not the point. I suppose I could have said that I took them while walking, but I chose to say where I was walking.
I don't believe I said "this is Boston". They are photos, that's all, nothing more.
Steve
That is a very nice set of images.
I particularly like how you've composed 'Alley in the North End'. The temptation would have been to make the door more prominent and lose the sense of the alley running up tot it. But as it is you've conveyed a most wonderful cityscape.
The depth-of-field you made on the 'Tibetan Dancers - City Hall Plaza' is also wonderful. Just perfect. A good image to study for those of wanting to learn how to make this sort of image.
Thanks Donald. As I'm sure others here do, I try to take my camera with me everywhere I go.
However, just because you have a camera doesn't mean you're in the mood to shoot.
This was the case yesterday and I posted these in part because the final image in each case differs considerably from what came out of the camera. The originals were rather uninspiring and it wasn't until I stared at them for a while after getting home that I found what I couldn't see as well as usual when I was taking the shot.
Thanks for the positive comments!
@Dave - I think I came off a bit grouchy before - sorry about that.
I especially love the alleyway shot... I wonder what kinds of stories the door could tell. I don't usually get this philosophical about an image but, IMO, this image lends itself to story-telling...
Nice set, the alley in particular catches my eye
