I was tempted to get all philosophical about the difference between Australian and other landscapes, but decided to let the pictures do the talking.

Sooo much space!

Not having seen it for myself, I am aware that lens angle, without some known size object, could mislead me.
The first is 22mm on a 1.6x crop body, so kinda wide angle, but not too far off normal.

Yes it is big and dry, just so not what I see in UK.

I think that means they do speak for themselves

My favorite is #3. The lonely fence running off into infinity. Looks very lonely!

I didn't mean to give the impression that Australia is all horrible desert, see Ucci's thread elsewhere. Here's a more conventional one from the Flinders Ranges area that shows more of a green and pleasant land.

Actually I rather like the open spaces.
