Plant Closeups
This is one of my first attempts at taking pictures of plants at such close range.
Let me know how these look and how to improve.

Re: Plant Closeups
Hello Muaaz and welcome.
In both of these photos, the background is too busy and prominent and it distracts from the main flower in my opinion. I suggest you try and concentrate the shot more on the flower itself.
There is an ongoing thread on this website called "Macro Flower Photos" and I suggest you have a look at that. There you will see a wonderful collection of flower shots and this should give you a better idea of how to approach this sort of subject.
Cheers Dave

Hi Muaaz,
I can't improve on Dave's advice.
You could crop these down, but you'd be throwing away 2/3 of the pixels, a bit too much really, so worth a reshoot if possible.
Is the "105mm" on on the second images the Nikon macro lens?
Cheers,
