- The track gives us a very good line into the image
- The fact that the horizon is on the half-way line is not a problem. The strength of the tree on the right and that bush just about on the lower third mitigates against the horizon on half-way.
- The composition is nicely balanced with that very powerful tree on the right being complemented by the those on the left.
- There are parts of the grass that I feel are a bit too bright and I'd be tempted to give them a light burning just to darken them up ... but very slightly
Thank you Nicola.
And Thank you Donald for a great reply.
I left the horizon there because of that bush. Having the horizon higher or lower just didn't look right. I shall have a play about with that grass.
I like this, the track really does lead you into and through the picture - makes me wonder what's over the horizon
I'd have been tempted to move around a wee bit and see if there was a point where you would see the track heading over the horizon, not hidden behind the branch of the right hand tree. Although perhaps that would mean making the picture from so far over to the left hand side that the curve of the track was lost? Or maybe get a little lower so you're looking along the track, underneath the tree branches?
Lexie
Thank you Lexie. I was over as left as I could go. There was a barbed wire fence there and on the other side a private fishing lake. Next time that way though I could try and get lower as you say.
On the other side of the hill it drops down into fields.
Nice lead in to a very nice image.
