Finally finished processing this batch - what a learning process!

Hope you like them.

Would have loved to get 1 and 2 into one long pano but messed up the middle pic during the shoot. Maybe next time. Have a good set of verticals but too many to process with my limited skills.

As always, all comments good or bad are truly appreciated.

And a question : would 2 and 5 benefit for a narrower height?

These are a very good effort, but I think you would have got better results in the camera had you shot them a little earlier in the evening. There are large areas of several of them that are too dark, and so lack colour in the sky. The best time for this type of thing is the hour after sunset. When were these shot? Hong Kong seems to be a good location for this sort of thing, and I'm sure if you try it with a lighter sky you can get some really excellent results.

Time was about 9:30. It was an overcast day with low heavy cloud cover which did nothing but reflect light off the city. It has been like that since I arrived a week ago (still is). Sunsets do not come through at all. The city itself is shrouded in a white haze. Hope it clears before I leave.

Early this morning sky was clear and blue with nice clouds. Did not last, it is even worse then that day atm. Will just have to wait it out I suppose. Still have a couple of weeks before leaving.

I haven't tried it myself, but you could try the hour before sunrise as well, provided the lights are still on. That way you might avoid some of the traffic pollution in the air. Is that what you mean by the 'white haze'?

The white haze is factory pollution drifting down with the prevailing winds from across the border in China. It is also monsoon season so humidity is high and not much wind. The only clear day was October 1, which was China's National Day and a long holiday period there - so all factories were closed!

The winds should change next month and hopefully there will be some good days then. Fingers crossed.
