I'm using a 580exII on a stand triggered with cheap wireless triggers. These are my friends that I'm doing it for free. Of course prints wont be free i did a wedding last month and it turned out to be ok and the bride loved it. You probably saw that wedding set on my site. Let me know what you think and areas i should improve. It was a discounted service but of course i did my best for my portfolio.
Brave indeed!
Looks like you all had fun
I assume you were using a single flash?
I have trouble getting lighting I like with a single light source on full body shots.
Have you considered cropping tighter on some of those photos?
Thank you for posting neighbor
What's up Neighbor!
Yes it was single flash and was using the sun as my 2nd light when it was still available. I always like the warm color with the flash on the other side.
I didn't play around with the cropping much and my imagination got drain after this series hehehe. If you have some cool crop vision on this please do so... i don't mind and would love to see them
Hi Chriss,
What I thought, looking at the rest of this dozen or so shots was; "great series, if only the lighting was more even".
Colin has to be better at advising on that than I, but it's bound to cost you $$$$$
My second thought (again of Steven and Sheila's set) is that some are quite 'theatrical' poses (hence the thread title), but if that's what they wanted and are happy with, then that's fine, it really isn't for me to say. The earlier wedding is more normal, if rather 'extensive', in coverage.
That may sound negative, but honestly, there is far more right than wrong here, and I'm talking about improving the last little bit; the final 10 or so, percent.
Well done,

To Chriss: I like #8 in your set
To Dave: Oh, I learned many lessons from you.
Thanks Dave. Though, in regards with your 3 dollar sign, as long is stays 3 digits, it's manageable but once it hits around the 4th digit, there might me more thinking done hehehe
Also good to hear that there are more right than wrong really happy with that especially with the number of years I have put in to photography. Which I still have lots of space to improve upon
Thanks again.
Hi Chriss, I would have to take a screen shot to get at your smugmugs, so I haven't tried one yet. The one you posted here I wouldnt crop much so it's not a good example.
Your compositions are all good, I just prefer the subject takes up more space in the photo. This is a subjective matter of taste!
