I love her name and this photo is awesome. Keeps me looking at it for longer than 2.4 seconds. I love the black and white, the expression and spontaneity of the shoot. The frame has been perfectly filled. I'm only left wondering her overall posture. Is she laying down?

I wondered if the lighting was just a bit too flat, but I defer to the more experienced 'people' shooters for opinion. That aside, it is a wonderfully crafted image in the sense of the quality of the capture, the composition and the processing.

Funny, no, but a rueful expression that most photographers would love to capture.

Clearly a great subject, (congrats on the win too), the exression absolutely makes this shot. Have you considered cropping even closer to take out the background. A bit like you see the media do and just include from the chin to just above the hairline.

Such a shot would happily sit in any national newspaper running a story on your daughter and the win!
