Canon 55-250 (Nifty 250) 'focus jump' question
I love this lense...it combines so much versaility and is sharp as a pin.
but.........when using AF it searches and locks in on the subject then you click and sometimes everything goes well and on others it gives a little jump.
I have heard that this is a common problem with this lense..does any one know if the 'jump' affects the final focus and if anything can be done about it?
Appreciate your views.

Re: Nifty 250 ( Canon) question
Hi Daisy - and welcome to the forums from me.
I'm not a Canon shooter, so I'm not familiar with their lens range, I have never heard the 'nifty' description applied to a 250 before and I wonder if we're talking of a prime lens here or the 55-250mm, which is quite compact?
I think it would be worth you being a bit more explicit with the exact lens under discussion to see if any other members have it.
Good luck with the question,

Re: Canon 55-250 (Nifty 250) 'focus jump' question
Hi Dave..and thanks for the welcome.
Sorry if I have caused any confusion. I know the nifty fifty as it is one of my favourite lenses. ..it seems that a lot of photographers have started referring to the 55-250 as the 'nifty 250' as a term of affection and there are now 'nifty 250' groups on the likes of flickr etc.

It is the 55-250 I am referring to with regards to this post.
