Fall is on it's way

Seeing the fall colors start showing around town I thought I might head to the hills and see what I could find. Unfortunately the colors are starting speradically and I was early. I also faced harsh sun and deep shadows. Here is a few just to share Washingtons beauty. Not really what I was hoping for but hope you enjoy anyhow.

We've got Fall in "full bloom" up here, and if I can find some time this afternoon I'll be
out there trying to get some of it packed into the lens.

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately we do not have the fall with so many colors that you have there in US, our climate here in Brazil is quite different.
Here in Brasilia the colors come in a differente way, not all together. It is beautifull too, and I just wonder when I will be able to see the fall again there in US. Any way, I have your photos to see it again. I am quite sure you will have more to show us soon.

Thanks guys, I am glad they were enjoyed. Flavio, yes you can expect more. I am hoping more trees turn before the others are done. It can go either way here.

Hi Paul,

I know what you mean, sometimes the trees all turn together and on other occasions they each seem to do their own thing but never in a pattern that you can photograph. Hopefully you can get out again before the end of fall. It looks like great country to work with.

How did the trip into the mountains go?

Hi peter, exactly....and I hope to get out again soon, all depends on the fickle weather at this point.
The mountain trip was cancelled due to weather and the fact that I came down with a nasty flu.

Sorry to hear you had to cancel, it sounded like a great weekend. You need to watch these flu things I had one earlier in the year and on the second relapse I finished with bronchitis. I only got rid of it when we went into the desert with the dry hot air.

Paul, come Spring we'll pick a dry Saturday (if there is such a thing..lol) and have a go at it again. Snow won't melt off up there until July, at best, but there's plenty of good shots to be found here in the lower elevations.

Missed the chance to get out today, but next week is looking decent after Monday (according to Walter Kelly, that is..)

Nice shots Paul... have been getting out myself as much as I can... have limited color changed right now... just trying to catch it and like you, hoping to get some uniform color changes... before what is already changed disappears. Good luck on your quest...
