This rose is a Mr Lincoln from our garden. Knowing my love of red roses Mrs Ucci planted this rose bush especially for me.

Hi Ken, although both are magnificent, I really like the detail in the second one. You can even see what looks like a spider web on the stem and above the right hand leaf! Glad you didn't clone those out, for me they add interest.
As the first one has rich dark colour, had you considered how it might look with a lighter background? Just a thought.
What technique did you use to get the smooth background in the second one?

What a lovely Rose, is it named after Abraham Lincoln? What settings did you use to get this please?
