Your butterfly shot is the whip! (That means good for those who haven't heard the term).... This one leaves a bit out there for me. Not a bad shot mind you but there is nothing that really draws me in.

Again I'll agree with Scott here, although I thought a whip was a nice car or something.
It is nice when you can get down to your subjects level rather that shoot down on top of them, same goes for catching the youngsters at a birthday party, get to their level. Not always possible in some areas, I know.

Harmon,
As Paul rightly said, you should get down to subject's level to have a more effective shot. In case that wasn't possible for you to do that, had it been me, I would have waited & taken more shots waiting for something in which the turtle was doing something more interesting. Patience is the key when shooting subjects like these.
