Re: Forest Exit
Greeting from Tampa, FL Pat. Interesting shot. I'm fairly new and don't have enough experience or practice to dive too deep, however two things jump out for me:
(a) Colors seem over-saturated, and (b) the title, Forest Exit, doesn't seem to fit the picture given all the forest coverage to the left of your intended subject. On occasion I'll take a shot where I've accidentally caught something interesting and try and make it work after the fact; in this case, if you can return and get a more intentional, straight on 'hallway' perspective of the 'exit' you may have a keeper.

Re: Forest Exit
Greetings in return from Ireland to you Robert.I'm in agreement with your assessment and think my error was trying to include more than one subject.
Many Thanks for your reply,Best Wishes,Pat

Re: Forest Exit
Pat,
Perhaps you might consider cropping some off the bottom and left side of your image which I think would make the lighted archway in the trees as your main subject.

Definitely not for the bin.

Re: Forest Exit
I quite like this, and the crop is a +. I am not sure I think the color is over saturated as here in Washington it really can be this green and with the right light nearly looks neon. Maybe a slight reduction in brightness but thats a maybe.
Not a binner in my book.

Re: Forest Exit
Yes a crop was my first thought, Pat.
And this would be an excellent background to place a leprechaun on the tree stump.
