    ....and another new Canadian

... but not new in any other form.

    Toronto based.
I heard about the site from a couple of photographers I met on holiday who do amazing work in video as well as in stills. So, if they are part of this community, must be a good place to be.

    Graham
6'2" (haven't gone fully metric yet, but am comfortably bilingual)
220lbs, wanting to get down to sub 200 (ah, yes, the memories)
Other main activity - ballroom dancing.
Recently joined a camera club (Toronto Digital Photographic Club) and am very active already.
Anything else you want to know? Just ask.

Willing to join anyone else if they happen to be around for a photo trip if we are nearby each other.

    WANTS
To learn to take better pics, better processing to be able to create an image reflecting what my mind sees.

Hello Graham! Great to have you here. Sub 200 lbs? What's that like?

Like the others have said, I hope you feel able to get right into being part of CIC.

Hi Graham! Welcome to CiC! It sounds like you moved to TO from another country? I'm originally from the US but a job transfer took me to Canada for 12 years. Our three youngest children are Canadian and we now live back in the US but I still keep in touch with many Canadian friends, eh!

    Hello Graham!
<LOL> It's a mini invasion. You're the second Canadian in two days. There are others....

    Cheers,
Anything that I can get am image with.
Currrently using a Sony A350, tamron 60mm macro, sony 18-250mm, Sony 500mm Cat lens (so light, so easy to handhold), 1.5 kenko teleconvertor
    Also Casio compact.
    Also a scanner.
Lighting, Metz flash (58GN), Bowens 200W, umbrellas and softboxes (all I now need is a place large enough to use them more effectively).

Favourite accessory - legs. Move around to get the preferred composition.

Vaguely remember. In the OLD days when I was into martial arts I was 175lbs, now around 45lbs heavier, ughh!

Correct, originally a Brit, even moved around several places within the UK (Newcastle, York, Middlesbrough, Manchester). Stable in Toronto (and not sleepy in the slightest)

Er, I also have a daughter that is now a naturalised New Zealander. Hope that (being once removed) doesn't affect the balance? Or am I a crossover between North and South hemispheres as well as Europe and North America? Cosmopolitan to some extent.
