    Remember not to take him for a walk, especially over stiles if you have them over there; tried it with a friend's husky and will remember to have roller blades and a wind-surfer kite next time

    Sorry about that Brigitte. I was looking at Willie on the dishwasher and Jim's reply to your post. I really should pay more attention.

    Emily is beautiful - nice photos of her.

    Holly, the Goldendoodle

    Holly is an F-1 Goldendoodle. A Goldendoodle is an intentional cross between a Poodle (in Holly's case, a Standard Poodle) and a Golden Retriever. This makes a wonderful combination since she has the personality of a Golden, doesn't shed like a Poodle and is exceptionally smart from the genes of both breeds.

    Here are two shots of Holly, one at four months and one recently. She is now 18 months old and weighs about 60 pounds (about 27 kilos). We think that she has attained her full growth. She is sometimes mistaken for a Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier but, she has long poodle-like legs.

    Doodlles were originally bred in Australia as Labradoodles (Labrador Retriever / Poodle cross) to be used as service dogs for those people needing a service dog but who are allergic to dogs. Both F-1 (first generation breeding between a Poodle and the other breed) Labrdoodles and Goldendoodles don't shed and are pretty hypo-allergenic. However, an F-2 Doodle (a puppy from a Goldendoodle or Labradoodle bred back to a Poodle) is usually TOTALLY hypoallergenic and can be tolerated even by persons who are extremely allergic to dogs.

    I have owned many different types of dogs, both pure-bred champions and various types of mutts but, I have never owned a dog that attracts as much positive attention as does Holly. She is a "people magnet"!

    Dang, that's huge! I've had big/heavy cats before but this one beats anything I've ever had. Laura

    Holly my Goldendoodle

    Holly is an 18 month old Goldendoodle which is the result of an intentional breeding between a Golden retriever and a Standard Poodle. Doodles were first bred in Australia as Labradoodles (Labrador retriever + Poodle) to work as service dogs for persons with alergies to dogs. The Labradoodle mix was so successful that the Goldendoodle was developed. These wonderful dogs are not only great service animals but, outstanding pets and companions.

    Seemed nicely lit by the early morning sunshine, so I took the shot, C&C welcome;
