Where am I?

Hi all, after enjoying some days of vacation in Austria, I come and see some new members, to whom I welcome to the best photography forum.

Also, to those whom enjoy reading, I'm posting a picture of a place in Austria, it's a monastery mentioned in one of the books of Umberto Ecco, the one I consider to be the best one.

Hi Daniel,

Just so you know, your image isn't showing up at this end - we get this quite often when the hosting site doesn't allow images to be displayed inline (typical of free accounts) (although usually it'll display on the original posters PC because it's cached locally).

Hi Colin, it was working ok but now is not. Do you think what might be? my homepage is not free, is a mac homepage for which I'm paying a yearly fee.

I can see the image. I am using a Mac not that that should make any difference. I don't know where this is but it is a pretty impressive building

Hi Daniel,

See if you can see it now. I had a look at the link properties - you had two lots of "HTTP" at the front, and another minor issue (side note: If you're using the "insert Picture" button, be sure to remove the HTTP:// pre-amble if you have the URL on the clipboard that already contains it).

It looks like it's working now, but it MAY be becase it's already cached on my PC from when I tried it in a browser window directly. If you STILL can't see it then my best guess is that the site isn't allowing direct linking in all circumstances.

I'm seeing it too (for the first time inline) and I'm on a PC.
Previously I had to click the link and got taken to an album somewhere.

But I don't know where it is either!

I just did a bit of a "forensic analysis" on the post history ...

Basically,

- Initial versions tried to insert an HTML page as an image, and

- The URL that finally referenced the *.JPG started with http://http://

About the building, haven you read the book The Name of the Rose?, if you have you might know what is the name of the monastery, it is mentioned by one of the main actors.
