Another tight competition.

Great results. Congrats to the winners. October seemed to be a wonderful collection of photos, it was difficult voting for just the one.

OK, I want to know how the first one was done. I can't imagine it was one shot ... for one thing it would be quite a challenge to get the kittens to stay put and for another thing, they aren't looking at each other.

My guess is layers. One kitten placed in the shelf, take a picture, another kitten placed in the shelf, take a picture, etc. and then layer it all together.

Is that right, or was there another trick to it?

Many thanks to all those who voted for my 'Kitten Display Cabinet'
Machka - all done with elastic bands and super glue (just joking - elastic bands would have been inhumane)
Layers and a constant reliable light source (flash) so that all exposures were consistent. Honestly getting just one of the little buggers to stay in one place for the couple of seconds needed to take the shot was enough of a challenge
