getting stuck with exposure...
I feel like I am always having to use a slow shutter speed and my lens wide open to have a good exposure even in ok light. I use my speedlight almost all the time. I feel like I'm missing something. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?

It's always good to go back to basics once in a while:

Alternatively:

Hope this helps. If not - are there any specific situations that are giving you trouble? Could it be a result of your using lenses with small maximum apertures? Low ISO?
