    Hi from San Diego

    Hi,
I like the tone on this forum, and I love the pictures people post here,.. and I read the tutorials on CiC all the time,.. and I got the invitation in the email to join,.. and I have a specific question (which I'll post on the other thread) - and that is why I am joining...
I am a beginner photographer (which you'd hardly guessed looking at me - I am far from being young, and I flaunt a good camera). Upgraded my P&S to DSLR about 4 years ago, and can't stop playing with my new toy since. Equipment: Pentax K-5, 35mm F2 prime, 18-250mm zoom.

What I hope to find here is, mostly, feedback on what I post. I won't mind if it's overly critical - that IS what I want. Compliments - I have enough from my friends and family. I think they are too easy to please

    Regards,
    -Vladimir

Hi Vladimir and welcome to CiC! You can certainly get honest feedback here, particularly if you post just one or two images and ask specifically what you want feedback on. You will be sure of getting the area of feedback you are interested in that way. If you simply post an image with no text, you are more likely to get the 'nice picture' type of response which, although it strokes the ego, doesn’t help very much to improve your abilities.

Here is a link to a posting guide you may want to review to get the most out your experience here. HELP THREAD: Guide to posting images for comment Enjoy!

Hello and welcome! You will likely get the kuddos as well when posting something nice as many here are new themselves and C&C is another learned art in itself, but you will also get the critical eye you seek. Enjoy your stay and I look forward to seeing some images from you.
