This is an open-themed competition that is open to all CiC members.

ENTERING. Add your image in a new post below. Make sure to change your post title to a name for your picture (click the "Go Advanced" button). Only one entry per person. For help posting images, go here.

VOTING. When this competition reaches 10 entries, a poll will be automatically added and any member may then vote. After 2 days, voting ends and the winner is determined.

Once voting begins, a new competition will be automatically started.

Photos must be your own, and never entered into one of our prior competitions. We also ask that only recently taken or edited photos be used as entries (in the spirit of motivating everyone to continually improve).

In the case of this image, at least, it was the 11th image added to this Mini Competition, so I believe it was ignored as far as the competition goes. If you are wondering how to get your image to show larger, there is some information in the Help section concerning how to do that. It did get posted, but apparently too late for the competition. Try posting it to another Mini Competition. I hope this helps.

In the case of this image, at least, it was the 11th image added to this Mini Competition, so I believe it was ignored as far as the competition goes. Paul, Thank you for your reply, I guess I just misunderstood the rules for the Minni Comp. Thought I could still submit after 10 photos were entere and the voting would begain after that, or what ever, at the time of entry I probably misread how many were already poste. Any way i gave it a try, so now I need to work on how to make my images larger. I am not the best person in the world at trying to understand computers, and Forum rules are not easy for me to understand.............Getting Old I guess. Wil try to make my images much larger..... Thanks again for your help

I'm just getting involved here, also, but it appears that the competition is automatically closed after 10 entries, but that wouldn't stop you from posting an image to the thread. If you look at the upper right corner of the currently entered images, the 10th image would be labelled #11. It is also possible that someone entered an image while you were uploading yours, that beat you into the competition by a little bit. I copied the following from the help section, which will hopefully solve your problem:

Part 2: How to make an attached thumbnail appear larger and inline

1. Click the image to make it bigger
2. Right-click on the image and select "Copy Image Location" (in Firefox) or "Copy Shortcut" (in IE)
3. Click "Edit Post" and position the cursor where you want the image to appear, then use the "Insert Image" icon and Paste (Ctrl+V) the shortcut into the dialog and click "OK"
4. Click "Save Changes" button.
   (if you attached more than one image, repeat steps 1-3 for each to get the bigger images inline)

Tom, I'm glad I could be of help. I'm sure you will figure it out. When you get this option figured out, you might also try the tinypic option; (see the Help section) that is what I use and find it fairly straight forward. Welcome to the Forum, by the way.

Paul, Thanks I will, I thought that was only an advertisement, but now that you suggested it I see it may be more usefull for me....... Incidentally I just finished viewing your Website; Marvelous photography there.( thecreatorshandphography.com) everyone should take a good look at it) I share the same reasons behind the camera as you do.
