    Hello -

This is Mulki from Dubai, Just joined the Forum, and am taking a ride in a hot air balloon over the deserts this weekend. Wanted some tips on photography from that height. I use a Nikon D3000 with the 70-300mm lens.

    Welcome to the forum, Mulki.
Well, I feel a wide angle lense (18-55, if you have it) would do more justice to you. You would be constantly moving/floating in air and with 70-300 you would need very high shutter speed for sharp images. With 18-55 you can be more creative, by including the balloon you would be travelling in, in frame.
    Just my two cents.
Best of luck. Enjoy your ride
