I like these a lot Cakey. Can see you have got a muddy belly taking these
Hard to pick a fav as they all have good detail, but if I had to if would be the one with the fly.... just because the title lol
Cheers Skyline.......the mud was not a problem ,it was the dog sh.....................hahahahaha
Love them all! Faves are “Shroom City” and the one with the fly.
#1 has a bit of a blown shroom in the lower left hand corner that is distracting.
#4 Could be named: "Freud could do a lot with this."
Good photos. There are some distracting elements, but when shooting low down it is difficult to avoid the odd distraction. Particularly like the second and third ones.
The emerging mushroom looks like a parasol mushroom. If it is, then it could get to 30cm tall and have a cop of up to the same size - a really impressive fungi, which incidentally is one of the best eating mushrooms growing wild in Britain.
Unfortunately due to some people collecting edible mushroom for commercial purposes and because the parasol is very easy to spot some areas have banned any collection of parasols.
However, with all fungi in the wild you have to be absolutely sure what you are collecting.
Things like this, - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/sc...6908-20747673/ - and worse, do happen.
Dave

Good photos of these natural recyclers Cakey, and I like your humorous titles that show you are also a "fun guy".
If this was photographed in England, it is a phenomenon rarely observed in the natural habitat of this part of the world, for it is undoubtedly the larval stage of the development of an uncommon species of zebra.

Why would you disrespect this pic by calling it a zebra. Clearly it is a giraffe. And, may I say a beautifully balanced, well cropped giraffe at that. DOF is perfect. Some people just don't know their animal world. What would David A. think?? Seriously Cakey the whole sequence is gorgeous, don't worry about the extra mush, your sequence stands alone.
