    Market House Sun Rise

Here a shot of the sun coming up behind our Market House. This only happens twice a year and I would like to have got a better angle, maybe with the sun a little lower but I got there late and had to jockey for position because of the other people. I'm still learing so any and all C&C is welcome.

A good one, well captured and one where you really do have to be in the right place at the right time.

I find this - http://photoephemeris.com/ - very useful when looking for sunrise and sunset shots.

Nice capture of an interesting event. I would suggest that leveling the image a bit might be in order. The Market House is tilting a little to the right.

    BTW: where is this located!

The Market House is well over a 100 years old and it dose lean to right some. I did try to lvl it some in Lightroom but then the other building etc look off so I left it as is. This is in Fayetteville, NC. The next time for this is in Jan and going to try it again maybe get a front row seat

I think you have done well with this one. The buildings around the square are well lit, the sun is not blown out and the sunlight across the plaza is a great colour. I am not sure a lower sun angle would much improve this because the buildings would be less well lit.

I await your January attempt, it would be interesting to see a sequence as the sun rises to see how the light quality changes (barring the ever evil cloud cover)

Try a Transform function (I use Distort). Helps to balance the verticals is there is distortion caused by the lens.
I tried it myself and corrected the houses left and right to vertical, leaving the Market House slightly to the right, but nowhere near as much as original.
    Interesting pic.
