This is a monochrome-themed competition that is open to all CiC members.
ENTERING. Add your MONOCHROME/B&W image in a new post below. Make sure to change your post title to a name for your picture (click the "Go Advanced" button). Only one entry per person, and any tinted images should utilize no more than one color. For help posting images, go here.
VOTING. When this competition reaches 10 entries, a poll will be automatically added and any member may then vote. After 2 days, voting ends and the winner is determined.
Once voting begins, a new competition will be automatically started.

Notes: Please do not request feedback or comment on other images until after voting has closed, as it could be unfair to other entrants. Photos must be your own, and never entered into one of our prior competitions. We also ask that only recently taken or edited photos be used as entries (in the spirit of motivating everyone to continually improve).

Whew, that was close. Good job Paul.
I can't comment on all the shots here, but I do wonder why jcochran's "Central Park Artist" did not do better. I really like it.
Also wondering why the Buffalo didn't get any votes. I like that one too - maybe a bit flat though - perhaps a catch light in the eye and just better all round lighting would have made it a winner. Sorry Kirk, I know this is not the place for C&C, but I really like the sad eyed expression and not too many of us get that close to a buffalo, and I hope the results of this comp don't discourage you from posting more.

Congrats Wendy - the first one that caught my eye. I agree with you. jc's should have got higher votes as should have John's Foggy Friday - moody.
As with the colour one - people tend to go for landscapes most of the time, even if they are not all that great. People? hardly any.
Seriously considering not entering any comp in the future.
Oh btw, congrats to Paul's Drip - nice catch.
