Massif du Mont Blanc
Hi...This is a shot I took on a trip to the Alps in the summer of 2010. Itīs a classic shot of the Massif du Mont Blanc from a little lake below the Aiguilles Rouges. It was a 4.00am start and 800m ascent to get there but I got lucky with the lack of wind for the reflections.
Itīs three files stichted in microsoft ICE, edited with ACR and PS CS5.
Thanks for looking.....

Nice shot Mark, and welcome from me too. I like the composition. It was worth the effort to get there. The water is so calm it is like a mirror.
Cheers Dave

Re: Massif du Mont Blanc
Hi Mark, the overall panorama is spectacular, but the crystal clear reflection in the lake doubles the enjoyment. Very nicely done.
Can you share what you had to do in post processing other than the pano stitching to get it to look so realistic?

Very well captured, Mark. I like the modest and, perhaps, minimal post processing. The result is wonderful.
Great job!
Cheers.

I would just add my note of compliments on a superb, classic image. An excellent piece of work. The composition, with its wonderful symmetry, is excellent.

Re: Massif du Mont Blanc
Thanks for all your kind comments.
FrankMi....I didnīt have to do much work on this, I lightend the grassy banks of the lake that run through the middle with a curves adjustment and added contrast to the mountains at the back with a black and white adjustment layer set to soft light at 30%, then a hue saturation adjustment to get the sky the color I wanted it. I also smart sharpened all but the sky and water at 75/1.0px. Each layer with its hand painted mask.
Itīs nice to have saved my PSD files so I can see just what I did.
