Fungi Beautiful
They were on an old coconut tree stump. Focusing was very difficult. I had to reflect light with a white paper. I think this is Coprinus disseminatus. Any fungus experts? Kindly enlighten.

Re: Fungi Beautiful
Interesting subject, Ramachandran.
But I somehow found the light too flat. I played around with curves individually, (Red, Green, Blue) and came up with this change. Hope you don't mind.

Re: Fungi Beautiful
Thank you Sahil. Yes The light was flat but not too much. I had to supplement light with a piece of paper. That probably added to the flatness. Your curve, btw, changed the tint. This fungi decay fast-in a day or two- and turn brown, I am told. You can see that has already started. I will try to take a shot of a brown group if they remain at the location without any damage.
Regards.

Re: Fungi Beautiful
Ramachandran,
Well I deliberately gave the image that tint to make it to give it a distinct look.
Try going to the same place when the lighting is different.

Is it my imagination or has there been a lot of fungus amoungus recently in the threads?
Hi Ramachandran! That is a fungus I've never seen before. It looks like you've been able to capture most of the detail in the whites. Thank you for posting.

It's the time of year and damp mild weather in the northern latitudes, Frank. We are all starting to go mouldy.
In another 3 months it will be mostly spring flower photos. And the sooner the better for me!

Re: Fungi Beautiful
Hi Ramachandran. I like your picture and mushroom ID. You could put the picture on the Rogers Mushroom site.
