What type of photography do you do?

Hi all, new and existing! I thought i might start a thread for people to tell us what type of photography they are. And how and/or why they started doing photography. So i will go first.

I like to think myself of an all-around photographer. I would like to try all types of photography although i would need to get some specific equipment to try out alot of these, for example portraiture i need/like basic equipment ranging from lighting modifiers, reflectors, trigger controller, ect. And i should mention im not doing this as a career but as a hobby so thats why im going for DIY for most of these equipment.

I always liked photography so i decided to get a camera. First i had a minolta and a pentax film SLR, and eventually upgraded to digital. A Canon EOS 1000D twin lens kit. I taught and still teaching myself photography. A great help is this site and its members. You cant go wrong with the net for free sources of how to do it, and this forum where everyone helps and gives you tips and advice.

    \So who's next.

I guess I would like to call myself an all around photographer too, I like various topics and I don't want to be pinned down to one subject.

I started in 2003 after moving from Western Washington to Spokane, I started off with a Sony Cyber shot F717 a little better then a standard P&S, during high school I took one of their photography classes and about that time I bought a Pentax K1000 then picked up a Spotmatic. Spotmatic by Tygart, on Flickr

After High school I got a DSLR Canon 40D, been trying to get more serious about it now, combing the Internet for information, CIC is a great place for that.
