Greetings from Iowa

My real name is Perry but I’m better known as Pepper (comes from my baseball days). I am 61 years old and am just getting involved in the world of photography. I’m a sales rep and travel a great deal. I live in east central Iowa. I’ll be retiring in a few years and want to take up photography. I’ve always enjoyed taking photos but have never had the time to really learn much about it. I’m about as “newbie” as one can be. I’ve looked at quite a few forums and this one wins the prize for a lot of reasons. Looking forward to getting to know you all but will be a part-timer as my work keeps me away a lot.
I am married with five children, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I am involved mostly in my work and Bible study (I’m not here to convert or preach but will respond to PMs) My goal here is to learn as much as I can about the world of photography.
