I have to ask why the difference in the colour of the images and which is the more natural colouring of the deer?

Thanks Clive and kris. the top picture is more the way it appeared, I think i did a white balance on the second image based on the white below jaw, I wasnt happy with it but forgot to change it back.I am not very good with the post prod. I notice that both pictures seem over sharpened to me now that ive posted them. They looked a little different before posting.Heres another from that same series.

Nice looking buck , james. These images have a strong red cast to them. If you look at your individual Red / Blue / Green histograms, you will see the red channel is way to the right of the other two.(showing a strong color cast) If you go to your levels tool and click on the green and blue channel and move the right slider of both channels to the left , you will get the color cast out of it. Then when your happy with the color, go to all channels and adjust the center slider to your liking.

Nice sharp images. I would have guessed by the look of the sun on the buck that the WB in the first shot was the correct color temp. The 2nd shot looked to cold IMO.
