I've been asked to take some portrait shots for some family members.
If any of you have seen some of the pics I've uploaded here, then you will know I'm not near as good as most of you - I'm still learning, even at 54!!! lol.
I've checked out the tutorials, and I would like to think I could do a half-decent shoot, and probably re-touch later, so what I am asking is....
does anyone have any tips for getting the best results, please?
I only have a Canon 300D with a Canon 28-70mm F4.5 (or a Sigma 35-80mm F5.6 - and a Canon 100-200mm F5.6) lenses. And a tripod - I can also shoot with my remote, to reduce any shake.
I have no backdrop (but was thinking of getting a shower curtain???), no aux lighting - as you can guess, I have nothing but the very basics!
They want me to shoot in their living room - which has very limited natural lighting as well.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you.
The two pics I have posted are of my wife - any critique is greatly welcomed! Thank you all again!
p.s. I have not done anything to this in photoshop - they are straight out of the camera.
