Bobo..it;s just a simple way of adding light and it can be used hand held for precise lighting.

I sometimes use 2 twin-light twin-pronged LED gizmos. These give me a total of 8 individually controllable LEDs. I just clamp one or both to a twig or tripod leg or whatever is handy eg my trousers pocket or belt. Used primarily for side or back lighting. Bit awkward sometimes so the rim light will come in quite handy for additional front on light. Currently use a diffused flash but lighting can sometimes be uneven.
Not all that concerned about controlling each side of the rim light that you mentioned in post #16, but if the function is already built in just give us a few more options.
Anyway gave up searching for that adjustable one and found yours on amazon.ca with free shipping. Should be here before xmas.
