Re: Morning Find
A fortunate find indeed; I get the impression you and children had a little time to enjoy? The environment is interesting, is that some light coloured rock or snow/frost showing so bright? How far away are you with camera?
Perhaps they'll stick around for you to get back for more photos?
If that is so, I'd try to wait for a little action .. such as feeding time or a walk around by the chick.
Are they close to home or under any threat from passing traffic/predators?
A nice catch, Kori

Re: Morning Find
a nice moment and I bet more instructive for the kids than anything they learnt at school that morning

Re: Morning Find
Sorry I wasn't able to respond sooner I was out of town for the week.
Thanks for the comments!
I was about maybe??? 6 feet away.
That is white rock...our frost is gone now...thank goodness!
They are right in front of the house, and have moved in my flower bed now... hard to see them with all the "greens" everywhere. Been keeping an eye on them though! No threat of danger for the birds - traffic is very limited where I live.
If I catch any more photo's I will post!
Thanks!
