This is a beautiful picture and I thought I might just try a little optimization
I used a graduated filter to darken the Top, Left, and Bottom.
Greened up the grass
Darkened the grass a bit just behind the boys head
Great picture - thanks for sharing

It is undeniably a cute shot, one can hardly go wrong with kids off this age as long as they are sharp, and it is pretty good in that respect for f/2.2 at 50mm.
He looks about the age where it is difficult to predict which way he's going to 'go' next but in an ideal world, I would suggest the shot would be slightly better if it had less empty space on picture left and more on the right, since that's where he's off to.
Also about a half to one stop less exposure.
Perhaps you can get your lil' sis to join CiC?
