Show us your wildlife babies
As, for northern-hemi people, there is a lot of this going on at the moment, I thought maybe a thread for Mom, Dad and the kids.
Inspired by Kori's pic of the cute dove.
Here are my starters, some I took at the weekend, uncropped, not wonderful compositions, straight from the camera (no PP).
I seem to have focussed on the rearmost gosling - my excuse is I'm still learning all the different focus modes and setings.
Nikon D5000, 1/350 @ f8, ISO200, 250mm (Sigma 18-250mm)
Nikon D5000, 1/750 @ f8, ISO400, 250mm (Sigma 18-250mm)
Both shot centre weighted metering and aperture priority, with no EV comp.
[COLOR="Yellow"]Any more wildlife chicks, babes, etc.?
Feel free to post here.

Title: [COLOR="Red"]Javan Langur #2
Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark II
f/5.6
Program: Av
Exposure: 1/320s
iso: 640
Lens: EF400mm f/5.6L USM
Location: here.
Was struggling a bit at the zoo with bright sunshine and the cute dark baby langur hanging out in the shade. Plus the normal zoo aaaarrrrgggghhhhs (think that is the correct technical term) of wire mesh and (in this case) a badly located rope swing. Had the 5d mk2 on auto iso mode, hence the odd iso value - camera trying to keep the shutter speed around 1/400th.
Enjoy,
Graham

I like the gosling doing a bit of pedicure Dave.
I think you have done pretty well making the best of limitations listed Graham - and got the expressions on mum and babe's faces a treat. Especially mum's eyes.

a bit of socialist realism ousting the pure photography - Herdwicks from recent Lakeland trip; about the nearest to wild you get

Haven't had semi-wild life disqualified, so another of my favourites
