Dry season
On the Boteti River in Botswana herds of Zebra congregate to the last remaining water as the dry season progresses. A small pool is kept going from a borehole sunk in the dry river bed.
C&C welcome

Re: Dry season
Great shots, not something many of us get to see. I'd love to see the first one at a wider angle to show the whole herd of zebra and more of the land to the left and right.
Unique point of view. Are these taken from a plane?
I hope to see more of your shots. I know I will never get to Africa.

Good shots. I think the second one is particularly strong, probably because we're much closer to the animals ... and that dust being whipped up. Very impressive.

Re: Dry season
Thanks Wendy. I was perched on the side of the riverbank trying to keep myself below the skyline to avoid being seen. I agree about the wide angle as it was a remarkable sight and I don't quite do it justice- next time.
Thanks Donald - I agree about the dust as it does give the image a bit more impact.
P.S. The Boteti River is now in full flow, we are going back over the Christmas/New Year holiday to have a look.
