New Member with old manual Focus Lens!
Hi
Just got some old Manual focus lenses for my Nikon dSLR D40. They are great! Manual Focussing is a bit of a pin but its trial and error (the only way to learn!)
Thought I'd post one of my first pics up here..

Great shot! The colours really stand out against the background and the lines throughout the image give it a great perspective. Makes me want to know exactly where this was taken.
And there's nothing wrong with that lens.

the only thing wrong is the image is too sharp. Great example of contrasting tones.

Hi. Its along Hove seafront about half mile from the Brighton Pier (approx). I waited for the sun to emerge from the dark clouds and heres the shot.
I used a Nikon D40 and a 50mm Series E 1.8 MF lens. ISO200 1/500. f?
Glad you like it!

Nice photo I think you did a good job.
I have some lenses too that I have been thinking about using, but I barley have figured out how to make a good composition, too much to think about for right now.

Hi Jeff,
using live view at x5 or x10 magnification for manual focusing does a good job. So it is less trial and error if you do not have an old style split-image indicator in the viewfinder.
