Just afraid about resell value with the sensor compartment exposed like that.
Let me help you with that! I'll take it to an appropriate 'recycle center' for you!

Canon bone gone I'm afraid. Got to be put down, out of it's misery .

Interesting shot but I'd NEVER leave the sensor exposed face up like that, EVER!
Sorry to hear that, but glad at the same time. Well... For the cameras sake lol
*lol* Interessting concept.
I'm thinking that it is probably the shutter mechanism worn out. It just stopped working while I was shooting and I got the infamous Error 99 warning.
Tried all the usual tricks but nothing worked.
What Model was it Geoff?
It is a 40D. See this previous thread about it Error 99 on 40D
It had done a lot of shutter clicks and I think the average for that model is somewhere around 40,000 to 50,000 clicks.
I was afraid you would say that.
I love my 40D and live in mortal fear of error 99. :/
Oh no, cameras have milage limits like cars, oh no. Then again, what would camera makers do if they all worked perfectely for a long-long time?
