Torcal de Antequera, Malaga, Spain.(B+W)
Hi...This is another old shot from 2009 that I have recently re-edited. It shows the strange rock formations of Torcal de Antequera near Malaga. This place is really worth a visit if you´re near by. Edited with ACR, Topaz DeNoise, PS CS5 and Silver Efex Pro.
C&C very much welcome.

I was going to ask 'could you have got in closer?' and then saw that you shot this at 10mm.
Wonderful sky, again. I wondered, however, if the tree is a positive or negative element ion the image? It constitutes only a very small part of the frame, which is otherwise filled with big and bold features; i.e. the rock and the sky. And, given that, I wondered if it was a bit superfluous?
That was why my initial reaction was about getting in really close to the tree and making it a much more dominant part of the image? That would mean, of course, you having to go in much tighter on the rock and losing everything apart from that central, highlighted outcrop.
If you can 'see' the image, as it is presented here, without the tree, I think it becomes even more powerful.
But, that's just one person's thoughts.

Donald thank you for your comment. While the rock formations of this place are very interesting I think the composition would lack a focal point without the tree. I did take some shots with a tighter frame, is this what you had in mind.

That was the sort of idea I was seeing. The tree really takes on, for me, being a wholly integral part of the image.
But they are both super pictures.

Beautiful two shots of a great location. Nice PP as well.
If there had been even more sky in one, that would have made it an 11 (composition just a little too evenly split). Or even more foreground.
Second one, just wow. Love the texture of the rocks, and beautiful work done PP, the muted colours just great.
Okay, enough, definitely a fan of your work. I think you've figured that out.
What was actually done PP?

Graham thanks I´m glad you liked them. Here´s a screen shot showing how the shot came out of ACR and what I did to it in PS CS5. I do very little in ACR just WB and exposure. Hope this helps.
