Steve, look at that background. It is not well is it ? From one side you have white and from the other a green spot.
The image is however interesting because the young man is very cute and he is really enjoying the bread/cake. We assume that he is looking at some ducks.
You have used some long focal lens. The image doesn't look perfectly sharp to me. My monitor's fault perhaps.
It looks like you were working with a great aperture because you have a very shallow DOF.

Thanks for the comments as usual Antonio.
I think that my sense of humour has not crossed the international boundary. In the UK it is quite common for us to take our children to feed bread to the ducks at local lakes or ponds.
The bread that Joshua is eating was supposed to be for the ducks but he decided to eat a chunk. I liked the photo because you can see exactly where he took a bite. The white is the water in the background and the green on the left hand side is a tree but you are right the shallow dof masks all of the other detail. I think it was taken at f1.8

I only find that they could benefit of a little less exposure with brightness and contrast...
As you have seen, I like - these days and until I change - the photos towards the dark side with spots of light. Oh it's only me with my manias
